Admissions Process

Lower School Process

1. Visit the School

Visiting our school is a required component of our admissions process. The tour is a terrific opportunity to see The Willows in action –- you’ll visit our state-of-the-art facilities, observe classes in session, and hear directly from teachers about our philosophy and curriculum. Tours are held on weekday mornings throughout the fall and are led by current Willows parents. You’ll also have a chance to meet our Head of School and ask any questions that you may have.

Tours are held on weekday mornings

Each tour begins at 9:30 am and ends at approximately 12:00 pm. For upcoming tour dates, please see the calendar under admissions.  To sign up for a tour, please submit an online inquiry at www.thewillows.org/page/Inquiry-Form.

2. Complete an Online Application

Please complete our online application which will be available mid August. The application deadline for the 2019-2020 school year for DK-5th is December 14, 2018. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. We are here to help you through the admissions process!

3. Schedule an Interview

After attending a tour and submitting an application, prospective parents meet with Kim Feldman, the Director of Enrollment Management, or Erica Warren, Associate Director of Admissions. This is an opportunity for parents to discuss their children, share information, and ask questions they may have about the school. Please do not bring your child to this appointment.

4. Student Visits

DK and Kindergarten prosective students will be invited to an assessment day, which will take place on a Saturday morning at The Willows. (January 26th or February 9th)

5. Other Requirements

In addition to the application, we require the following materials:
  • For Developmental Kindergarten and Kindergarten: Preschool Evaluation Form filled out by the preschool. This form is sent directly from The Willows to the preschool.
  • For grades 1–5: Student Evaluation Form filled out by the applicant's current teacher and sent directly to The Willows. This form can be found online under supporting application materials and forms.
