Bronson Green, Class of 2006 and graduate of Dartmouth College, currently works for the Kraft Sports Group, as the Business and Stadium Operations Coordinator at Gillette Stadium - home of the New England Patriots. He recently spoke about his memories of The Willows, his time at Dartmouth, and his experience working at a major sports stadium.
What are your fondest Willows' memories?
There are so many to draw back on that it's difficult to pick just one. The people at The Willows are what make it so special, and I cherish the relationships I formed with teachers and students during my time there.
How has The Willows shaped you?
I attribute a lot of my maturation both as a person and student to my time spent at The Willows. The teachers encourage an atmosphere of curiosity and creativity both in and out of the classroom. This comfortable environment allows students to grow close and work together in group settings, to develop skills that translate into college seminar and project-based work.
What did you study in college?
I was a History major with a concentration in War and Peace studies.
What was your experience playing college football?
After graduating from Loyola High School, I was fortunate to be recruited to play football at multiple schools across the country. The strong tradition of academics and athletics at Dartmouth College provided me with an opportunity to compete at the Division 1 level while receiving a world-class education. I finished a successful career this past fall as a 3x All-Ivy League honoree and two-year Captain.
How did you start working for Kraft Sports Group at Gillette Stadium? What's a typical day or week look like?
Through my experience working as an intern with the PGA TOUR and interacting with members of the Dartmouth Alumni Network, I was connected to the Kraft family and began a rigorous interview process, culminating with my hiring last spring. As a member of the Operations Department, we oversee all day-to-day activities at Gillette Stadium, including facility management, site development, and team operations. During the football season, my role expands to working closely with the game-day broadcast groups, coordinating onsite sponsor activations, overseeing fan engagement, and providing support to football staff and personnel.
After the football season, what's on your horizon? Do you have any big events coming up?
This offseason will be extremely busy for our department. We are currently constructing a field-level, end-zone lounge and concourse party deck, renovating private suites, updating team meeting rooms, and many other exciting projects to help provide the best possible stadium experience.
What advice do you have to any Willows alumni who want to work in sports?
There are so many great opportunities in sports, both at the college and professional level, through a wide range of organizations, departments, and experiences. If you're passionate about sports pursue the industry with an open mind and willingness to learn. Organizations do not look to hire fans, but rather people who cherish the sport experience and bring creative ideas and solutions to everyday challenges.
