Visual Arts Celebrates "The Ties That Bind Us" with Weaving!
In celebration of this year's schoolwide theme "The Ties that Bind Us," our visual Art Department is focusing on the exploration of fiber arts and woven construction. Students are actively discovering the creativity and joy of weaving.
Two visiting artists who are weavers, Kara Taub and Michele Belson, will be working with Willows students this semester to introduce our community to the complexities of pattern on multiple harness looms. Our students are weaving on both tabletop looms and floor looms. Throughout the year, artists working in different woven traditions will be working with our students.
