Second grade students learn about eminent people including the difference between being eminent and famous. They research an eminent person from history, write a report, and take part in a Q & A panel session as their eminent person. This year, students also created portraits of their eminent person. They explored facial features and proportions and by digitally drawing on top of a photo using iPad. Then, by looking at photographs of their eminent person, they used the iPad and sphere exercises to complete their portraits.
