Note about using SSS and additional documents requested: Families may either scan or upload all supporting documents themselves, which will then be securely matched to their online PFS, or mail documents directly to SSS. While uploading documents does not allow schools to see your information instantly, schools will be able to review your documents faster than if you mail them to the SSS processing center. If you choose to mail documents, print out and attach the SSS cover sheet and mail to:

Current Families: Skip step one. Begin your Financial Aid process on steps 2 through 5.
Families of New Applicants: Complete steps 1, and 2. You may also opt to send a letter about family circumstances at this time (Step 5). If you receive an enrollment offer from the school in March, you should complete steps 4 and 5 as soon as possible. In addition, new families must submit their 2019 and 2020 tax returns along with their Parents Financial Statement (PFS).
Step 1: Request financial aid via the online admission application
On The Willows online admission application, indicate that you are applying for financial aid. You may begin your online financial aid application starting November 1 by following steps 2 through 5.
Step 2: Complete the online Parent's Financial Statement (PFS)
This year, The Willows will use School and Student Services (SSS), methodology powered by NAIS, to handle ALL of the computation and verification of forms in our financial aid process. Based on the information you provide, SSS calculates an estimated amount that your family can contribute to educational expenses.
  • Starting on November 1, 2020, go to and click on the prompt to begin your Parents Financial Statement. You will create a user name and password which will allow you to complete the PFS over more than one session, therefore, allowing you time to gather the required information and to ensure accuracy. Only one PFS is needed per family regardless of the number of children applying. All material submitted to SSS will be secure.
  • New student applications must be submitted no later than January 24, 2021. Current student applications must be submitted no later than January 24, 2021.  Be sure to indicate that The Willows (SSS code 8210) should receive a copy of the results.
  • New student applications must also have a copy of their 2020 tax return submitted along with their PFS.
Step 3: Complete the IRS Form 4506-T
Complete, sign, and submit an IRS Form 4506-T(Request for Copy or Transcript of Tax Form). Please do not date the form. When submitting the 4506-T form, you should print out the available cover sheets located on the SSS website.
Step 4: Submit your 2020 Federal taxes
By January 31, 2021 (for returning students) and February 7, 2021 (for new students), submit a copy of your 2020 Federal taxes to the address listed above or upload documents directly following instructions on the SSS website When mailing tax returns to SSS, please take care to print out and include the available cover sheets located on the SSS website.
Applications submitted without a tax return will not be considered in the first round of applications. A preliminary or draft tax return is acceptable. If you receive a K-1 please inform the Business Office as soon as possible.
Step 5: Letter about Family Circumstances (optional)
