COVID-19 Pandemic Admissions Process

Middle School Process

1. Contact our Admissions Office

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our campus is closed with Distance Learning in operation, but the Admissions Office is open remotely!

We look forward to meeting you and your family and would like to reach out to you personally to answer any questions you may have at this time. Please complete our online inquiry form, and we will arrange a meeting with a member of our Admissions Department.

2. Tours/Open Houses

If our current restrictions change during the 2020-2021 school year, we will hold open houses and other on-campus events for prospective parents and students. Virtual open houses will be held on 11/7/2020 and 1/9/2021 from 9:00-10:00AM, students and parents are both invited to attend.  Please see our Tour Dates/Calendar page for more information and to RSVP.

3. Complete an Online Application

Due to the current situation, we have reduced our application fee from $150 to $100. We are requesting that families complete the application before a tour is scheduled. Our online application will be available on July 15, 2020. The application deadline for the 2021-2022 school year for 6th-8th grade is January 15, 2022.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. We are here to help you through the admissions process!

Admissions Coordinator

4. Schedule Interviews for Parents and Student

Parents and children schedule their interviews for the same day. Parents meet with Kim Feldman, Director of Enrollment Management, to discuss their children, share information, and ask questions they may have about the school. At the same time, their child meets with a senior faculty member or administrator, for a one-on-one interview and an informal assessment.  All interviews will be held virtually.

5. Other Requirements

In addition to the application, we require the following materials (all found under supporting application forms):

  • Teacher Recommendation forms - must be sent directly to The Willows by the teacher completing the recommendation.
  • Student Information Release form
  • Middle School Student Questionnaire
  • Administrative Recommendation form - must be sent directly to The Willows by the administrator completing the recommendation.
  • Standardized tests - For admission to the 2021-2022 school year, we are not requiring that all students applying to the middle school complete the ISEE (Independent Secondary School Entrance Exam).
